Scenarios
A brief introduction to the Scenario feature.
Scenarios are a type of card on Xoul.AI that can be used together with Xoul cards for chats with one Xoul or even group chats containing up to 8 Xouls.
What is a Scenario?
A Scenario is a premise of a chat. It acts as the story and opening blurb of the chat, just like the Intro field in a Xoul acts as the premise of a single-Xoul chat.
A Scenario can be as simple as a single line premise of a plot or a paragraph long description explaining the setting and premise that sets the framework of what the chat will be about.
Embedded Xouls

There are three types of Scenarios; ones that contain no embedded Xouls, ones that contain a single embedded Xoul and ones that contain 2-8 embedded Xouls.
No Xouls - Single-Xoul Chat
Available for single-Xoul. When setting up you will only be given the option to add a single Xoul.
1 Xoul - Single-Xoul Chat
Locked into a single-Xoul chat. You may only use this Scenario with this Xoul, this is a premise for this character.
2+ Xouls - Group Chat
Locked into a Group Chat. You can start this Scenario with these two Xouls but add or remove Xouls at any time to change who the Scenario involves.
Objectives
The Objective field allows you to type a short "goal" of the Scenario. By clicking 'Generate Meters' the system will use the text in the Objective field to generate 4 Meters based on the stated goal.
Meters

Meters are an interesting feature designed to make Scenarios more immersive and controllable. Meters are like progress trackers you can review in the right side info panel of the chat and will track whatever the Meter is written to track. If you take this a step further and give the AI model an idea of what to do with the Meter you can influence how the story will develop!
Imagine using a Meter to track how close the relationship between two characters is and stipulating that the character will only confess their feelings once the Meter reaches 75% or more. This can slow the model down from "rushing" the romance.
These AI models are language models, they are notoriously bad at basic math. Sometimes the Meter will raise or lower in ways that don't make much sense, get stuck, or even display amounts that don't make sense.
The more clearly you stipulate how the Meter should work, the better the model will be able to control and use the Meter, but even then don't be surprised if the model doesn't handle it perfectly.
System Prompt
The System Prompt field at the bottom of a Scenario is identical to the Custom Response Style in that it overrides Xoul's built in system prompts. Any chat had with this Scenario will use the text written into the System Prompt field, it overrides even the Custom Response Styles written into the Xouls.
If any text is typed into this field the user will only have the options 'Creator' or 'Custom' in the Response Style menu. 'Creator' indicates the chat is using the creator's text provided in the System Prompt field, whereas 'Custom' allows the user to override even that with a system prompt of their own.
